I am a DevOps and Platform Engineer with deep experience designing scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, driving Infrastructure-as-Code automation, and leading security and compliance initiatives across high-growth, regulated healthcare and enterprise environments.
The ideal job is a Senior or Staff-level DevOps, Platform, or SRE leadership role in a growth-stage company. Particularly within regulated industries like healthcare or fintech. One where I can own multi-account AWS architecture, design self-serve platforms, automate security and compliance controls, and optimize cloud spend while mentoring engineering teams.
The ideal company is one that generates overall positive impact to society with a mission that isn't just about making the next quarter report look good.

In their words
How would you describe your ideal next role?
Team lead, or contributing people manager. Ideal is using the years of experience to lift an organization from early stage to implementation of best practices in the DevOps / Security & Compliance space. Working side by side with engineering even to the degree that I can contribute to the architectural decision making process.
How would you describe your professional background?
Started where many in IT do, help desk. Moved beyond system administration when I started treating the things I was administering more like code modules. I was lucky to get into cloud early, embracing it and infrastructure as code at the same time. My intersection of knowledge of software development and system administration has made me a really good DevOps engineer with lots of 'T' shapes.
How would you describe your ideal next employer?
50 to 500 employees. Established but maturing. Cloud be any industry as long as they own their own product / platform engineering in house.
Anything else to add?
Companies that are all in or mostly all in on AWS will be able to take advantage of my experience the best.
