My ideal job is a senior/staff product engineer or founding/engineering lead, close to the humans the product is for, close enough to how the org decides things that I can help it stay honest.
My ideal company is a nonprofit, B Corp, cooperative, or small mission-driven shop where trust is how you operate, not a slide, and the work is reducing real-world friction, not growing a metric.

How would you describe your ideal next role?
My ideal role is working remote/hybrid for a small growing software company filled with smart, empathetic people who are devoted to building trust within the company. I am looking for either an individual contributor role or a engineering manager role helping to shape the future of the technology systems.
How would you describe your professional background?
I've had vast experience both in the software consulting space as well as the large-scale product company space. I've always found myself drawn to the way people actually use software and connecting teams that build those products. Sitting in a back room writing code isn't my MO, and yet I tend to be a lot more productive than other engineers on my team. I prefer working right in that intersection of design, users, APIs, performance, and product leadership. Right where front end code sits.
How would you describe your ideal next employer?
My next employer is a smaller product company that is growing with purpose, not just for the sake of growth. Probably in the software industry but it could be any industry using software to bring simplicity and joy to their customers. I want to focus on trust, not extraction.
