I'm a design and technology leader who moves fluidly between strategy, hands-on design, and development, with 25+ years of experience and a track record of leading products that shipped real revenue. My ideal next engagement lets me drive meaningful work end to end, whether that's product design for a growing software company or fractional design leadership for a team that needs senior direction. I do my best work with small to mid-sized companies, in industries like B2B software, professional services, or med-tech, where design has real influence and moves fast.

In their words
How would you describe your ideal next role?
I'm looking for design and development engagements where I can dig in and drive real progress, whether that's leading the work myself or collaborating closely with a small, nimble team. That could be a product design engagement for a growing software company, a brand and web project for a company entering a new market, or ongoing fractional design leadership for a team that needs senior direction without a full-time hire. I like being able to move between strategy and hands-on execution, and I work well both solo and embedded alongside a client's product, engineering, or marketing team.
How would you describe your professional background?
I've spent 25+ years moving between running my own creative practice and working inside larger organizations, always drawn back to projects where I can shape both the strategy and the craft. I started in web design and development in the late '90s, co-founded a boutique digital agency, then spent nearly nine years at Intuit leading product design for TurboTax, including a stretch managing a team of designers. I left in 2025 to relaunch my independent practice, Signal Strength, because I wanted the range back: strategy, design, and hands-on execution in one seat.
How would you describe your ideal next employer?
I'm drawn to small to mid-sized companies, professional services firms, B2B software companies, startups, and organizations in med-tech or fintech, where design has real influence on the product and business decisions rather than being brought in late. I like teams that move fast and value someone who can think strategically and also get hands-on, and I do my best work with clients who see design as a partner in the business, not just a service.
