How would you describe your ideal next role?
My ideal next role would be on a small team developing something the company sells. While my most recent experience was writing an android application for kitchens, and am happy to continue with android development, I can also do desktop applications.
How would you describe your professional background?
I got a degree in Mechanical Engineering and write software for a living. I worked for about a year after college at a navigation software company, then during the 2008 financial crisis switched to a medical device R&D company and worked there for about 12 years. After that I switched to the restaurant industry and began writing software for kitchens.
How would you describe your ideal next employer?
My ideal next employer is a small or medium sized company, ideally with flexible scheduling as I have young children. The company would also be a software or engineering company, where what I'm working on is the product that is being sold. I enjoy working on projects with hardware aspects to them.
