In their words
How would you describe your ideal next role?
My ideal next role is a customer-facing Solutions Engineer (or Sales/Forward-Deployed Engineer) for a technical product. I'd work alongside account executives, customers, and product teams: running discovery, designing solutions, and delivering technical demos and proofs of concept that show real business value. I want to stay hands-on by building integrations, prototypes, and AI-powered workflows, while acting as the bridge between what customers need and what the product team builds.
How would you describe your professional background?
I earned my Computer Science degree on a scholarship I earned playing competetive sports, which taught me discipline and how to perform as part of a team. I started at a large healthcare organization as an intern, have been promoted twice since, and now work as a full-stack developer and technical project lead. I’ve also done contract development on the side for several years. In both roles, I’ve found that I excel at sitting down with people, understanding what they need, designing a technical solution, and either building it myself or guiding others in building it. That approach has led to tools that saved significant time and money and turned manual, hours-long processes into something people can handle themselves in minutes. Along the way I’ve become a go-to person for putting generative AI to practical use. I’m now looking for a challenging role where I work directly with clients.
How would you describe your ideal next employer?
My next employer will be innovative, with a role focused on solving challenging technical problems and selling the solutions. I’m open to a company of any size because I’m most interested in the product or service vision. I want to join a team I can learn from and bounce ideas off of, and one that challenges me to excel. My background is rooted in healthcare, but I’m eager to apply my skills in a new industry. I’m looking for hybrid or in-office work in the Twin Cities (preferably the east metro), and I’m also open to remote roles and travel.
Anything else to add?
Beyond the technical side, I build real relationships. People open up to me because I make them feel at ease and heard, and that’s what gets past surface-level requests to the actual problem. I’m also good at connecting people, whether that’s bringing the right teammate into a conversation or helping a business partner and a developer find common ground. That’s how I lead, and it’s what I’m excited to bring to a client-facing solutions role, where trust matters as much as the technology.
