I am an organic chemist who has spent my career applying this knowledge with and to analytical chemistry to solve commercial challenges. I would like to find a dynamic, fast-paced job in a company, division, or workgroup within that company of 5-25 people.

In their words
How would you describe your ideal next role?
My ideal role would be in a smaller company in the medical area doing work that is cutting edge developing new operating procedures. Perhaps an example would be a company synthesizing molecules labelled with stable isotopes that are used for metabolomics monitoring with mass spectroscopy. I would like to be creating new methods, standards, and products.
How would you describe your professional background?
I'm a Ph.D. organic chemist who has professionally spent most of my time bridging organic and analytical chemistry. I have been a instrumental player in getting to the root cause of chemical problems either through hands-on work or in coordination with other experts. I enjoy working with coworkers to help them understand the chemical mechanisms forming the degradants they are finding, how to use the equipment to best identify them, and how to build a spectral database to search and quickly identify them in the future.
How would you describe your ideal next employer?
Although I have an initial work background in environmental monitoring , I found the most recent years working in medicine and the medical device areas more exciting and rewarding. While I like to be in the office, I like the possibility and flexibility of occasional remote work. I enjoy working for small to medium companies or smaller worksites within a larger company, but also loved the corporate experience.
Anything else to add?
I'm actively seeking a new opportunity to assist in creating new products, developing new skills, and helping coworkers understand chemical principles.
