How would you describe your ideal next role?
My ideal role would be something where I’m building systems to solve hard problems. Ideally at least 50% of my time would be spent on deep, highly technical, work. I prefer fully remote or hybrid work: an office should have purpose beyond just being a designated place to take Teams calls.

I’m a detail oriented software engineer with a very broad technology background. Originally I was pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, but switched to computer science after discovering how much fun it is. My professional career has included everything from client relations as a consultant to Linux kernel development. I’ve discovered that I love solving problems by building systems.
How would you describe your ideal next employer?
I want to work with a team who prides themselves on doing fantastic work, or who aspire to do fantastic work. I thrive under pressure, but recognize that constantly being under pressure is not a healthy environment; I want leadership who understands that. I want to work on a variety of challenges and technologies, and I want to help clients or customers have an amazing experience with whatever solutions we build.
