I am a data developer with over a decade of experience working with SQL, SSRS, and Power BI creating products to help leaders make business decisions. I would love to continue working with SQL and Power BI, and add Microsoft Fabric. Ideally my next employer would have an amazing culture that keeps it's employees long-term.

In their words
How would you describe your ideal next role?
Ideal next role: A Data Analyst or BI Developer role, ideally remote or hybrid, but on-site is ok depending on location. Writing and tuning queries, designing data models, and turning raw data into reports people use to make decisions.
I'd like to work directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs and pain-points. Responsibilities would center on Power BI or SSRS report development, with the ability to grow within the Microsoft Fabric environment if that is being used.
How would you describe your professional background?
I started my career as an Armored Vehicle Mechanic in the Army, which taught me how to troubleshoot systematically and take ownership of problems under pressure. After my service, I moved into web development at PACER Center, but I found I was more drawn to the data side of the work, so I took a SQL Server support role with the State of Minnesota and started building real database skills. That led to nearly eight years at Comcast, where I built I developed reports, analyzed various business data, and got deep into T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
From there I moved to InfoQuest, where I spent almost 11 years as the primary SQL and report developer on a commission processing platform, writing and owning hundreds of stored procedures supporting tens of millions of dollars in monthly payouts. Over that time I kept pushing to modernize the work, migrating reports to Power BI, automating QC testing, and adopting AI tools like Claude and Copilot into my workflow.
How would you describe your ideal next employer?
I have thrived in various environments including military, non-profits, governments, large corporations, and very small companies. The type and size of the organization is not important to me, but instead I look at the culture. I prefer a culture where employees are encouraged to push the envelope, have some agency in decisions they make, are trusted to do their work, and are rewarded for excellence.
